Re: Cornerpins to 3D Pos
I actually brought this up a couple years ago, but it didn't seem to go far. http://www.aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=654 It still seems possible to me, as long as you specify a reference frame so it has a "starting point" from which to begin calculating the camera movement. Mark...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
That's excellent news! I haven't upgraded yet, so I'll be on the lookout for it (as I always am with bugs in general for TrackerViz). In the future, if you do find a little bug like that in TrackerViz, try closing it and reopening it. And if its still there, save your project, close AE, reopen in, a...

Re: Tracker2Mask: new tracker-assisted rotoscoping tool
I think about extending the script such that it interprets the position of each selected layer that has no property (as a tracker or mask) on it selected, as a trackpoint. You could use TrackerViz-Layers then in the same way as trackpoints and even combine them. Furthermore, only moderate changes w...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
Hey Jaist, I finally got some time to look into this bug. I can't seem to duplicate the problem, so maybe I'm not understanding it correctly. I tried a few things: First I tracked two things in my shot. Then I made a solid layer and duplicated it, and did not touch the name of it. So the name of the...

Re: Tracking a parented layer
You could also use TrackerViz for this. Just select the child layer, pick Track Combine from TrackerViz's drop down menu, set it to keyframes , and run it. It will make a new little solid that is entirely independent and has keyframes of the child layer's position. I'm sure Dan's expression works aw...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
The main post has been updated, and TrackerViz v2.1 is available for download. There is also a new video tutorial showing all the features of TrackerViz, including the new corner pin functions.

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
unless your repositioning your attach points before tracking, there won't be any difference between that and the one I sent you.

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
I'm checking with Nab to see what version we had changed that in, since I kinda can't remember, having tested so many versions. But I thought he had done it v1.5. the latest version available right now would be on his website http://nabscripts.com/downloads_en.html More specifically http://nabscript...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
This has been fixed already. I guess not in the version you have.Okay, I hope nab doesn't mind me fixing his script.
This version does all Track based calculations in expressions and keyframes correctly - AttachPoint based in stead of Feature Center.

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
My god, man, you sure do have alot of problems with this thing. And for the record, I am done discussing the renaming of Combine Tracks. If you don't like the name, please go into the code and change it on your computer. That way, everyone is happy. :) And I'm not saying that in a mean tone or anyth...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
Is it not asking you if TrackerViz can automatically rename the layers? It should do that. I don't know what causes the problem, but it happens no matter what the names are. The auto-renaming feature should have that covered, but I guess you're not getting it? Do you know what version of TrackerViz ...

Re: Create Masks from Edges
this is actually a feature I'd love to see implemented into TrackerViz!
you could move the mask onto a solid and use that solid as a track matte. then simply nudge the solid a couple pixels in whatever direction you want.

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
So the only difference that scripting change makes is that it doesn't break when you precompose? That sounds like a great change to me if that's the case. :) The attach point/feature center issue has already been added to the fix list. I'm sorry, but I still completely disagree with you on changing ...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
TrackerViz doesn't seem to go off the layer name, but rather the source name. So you can't just rename the layer and bypass the error message. I thought this was the case the first time I encountered it, but I don't believe so. In fact, I think, in the second video tutorial, I duplicate a solid lay...

Re: TrackerViz for After Effects
That is something I've often wondered about myself, )orgen. Right now, no, there is no way to turn it into a 3d plane. The best that can be done is corner pinning, which I show in the 2nd tutorial. You could use Mocha from Imagineer Systems, which is a planar track, but when you bring it into AE, it...
