I was over at belief looking at there reel and saw a move I have to learn. I have figured our part of it but need to determine the rest.

It is a 360 flyaround. So you have a object in the center filmed on a rotating platform. You shoot one revolution to two or three. Conform to a QT clip with a multiple of 360 frames, 720 for two revolutions or what ever is needed depending how many times you are going around the object.

The Quesiton: Now that I have my rotating object (this would be a keyed object, say a person) on a 2D clip I want to now rotate any other drawn or imported objects (I think they have to be in there own comp) around the clip and join through an expression related to the frame of the QT clip.

The reason I want to learn this is in AE many objects are 2D clips and rotating the camera can be tricky to make a bunch of 2D stuff look 3D...Here is the move that got me so excited http://www.belief.com then go to show packaging and then Zoom TV Launch. The move is in the first 5 seconds...step through it with QT and you will see what I mean...

I would say this a job for a 3d tracker. You would track the shot, and then bring the camera and nulls created by the tracker into AE.
