Is it possible to refer to a layer property in a pre-comp that is now a layer in the main comp? I'm trying to have the source point for the Shine plugin on a layer in my main comp follow the position of a null object in the pre-comp (which is now a layer in my main comp).

Arrange your windows so that you can see both timelines (main and pre-comp) at the same time and pick-whip the source point of shine to the null in your pre-comp.
