I have sent you a copy of a ssa that gives the error. It's weird cos the script used to work just fine before I reinstalled windows and after effects.

I also keep getting the same error. It's fine when var sliderRamp is set to 0. but when it's non 0 then it doesn't work.

The most common is the expand/explode effect, where each sung syllable increases in size and goes back down again. To keep the origial tracking in the syllable while expanding you have to go to text -> more options -> anchor point grouping -> word. However with your scrip, since the slider goes from...

I think I found a solution. It's rather inelegant and revolves around creating a copy of the default text layer and having one fade in very quickly syllable by syllable as its sung. and the other one to fade out. put var sliderramp to be 1. First make sure the default animator text layer is the same...

Ah, I was trying to do the same thing with blur +one of the transitions fade out. I guess because the actual highlight animation for syllable is done in the highlight text layer. You will have to mess around with the opacity of the default layer which comes back on once the highlighting is finished.

Hyugako, everything works fine for me. I just did what paul listed and the blur goes up and down for the sung syllable. Thanks again paul. I will mess around with it and see what else can be done.

I have sent you a pm with example of the silence and how I varied the blur for sung syllables. Altough manually inserting keyframes for each syllable is quite tiring.

Thanks for the updated script. I'll try it out in a bit. about what I asked before, is there a way to use the effects such as blur etc for the highlight animation. So when the syllable starts there is no blur, but as it gets sung the syllable gets blurred to a specific point and maybe goes back to o...

Thanks Paul, I'll look into it once more. If you want to know more about SSA and ASS(sort of updated SSA) you can consult these two files. [the difference in ASS is marked in red afaik] http://www.fansubbing.org/files/index.php?dir=&file=ass-specs.rtf&AutoIndex=d531bdfea127177bce643a7e7f87c944 http:...

Hi, being a fansubber this script is of great interest for me. I was going to request it, until I saw it had already been done. I tested it out and it loads the text fine, but it always fails to include the karaoke data. For example when I use this SSA script [Script Info] ;-------------------------...
