Sorry all - I'm being an idiot.
I've tracked back to the start of the comp - the keyframe data was inserted at frame 1 of the comp.
I'll try to amend the code to insert it instead from the current time.
Many thanks for your help,
Matthew

problem with monter script
Ok - it may be something reaqlly simple to fix (I hope) But I now realise what the problem is - Monter's script on my pc is reading the data but only drawing the last mask of the set. I was expecting it to create the mask then move the timeline forward by 1, create a new keyframe and redraw the mask...

workflow
Ok, I'm being a bit dim - I've tried creating data with both Motor and Mocha, but I'm missing the information as to how to best use these JSX files. I had hoped that I could use fumes and then rotoae, but fumes is only creating one track point which is way off. Monter's script made a good mask, but ...

Thanks
Wonderful.
Many thakns to your all, particularly Monter for the code. This is extremely useful.
Just to clarify - the wiki is under creative commons - just the workflow is protected and not any code, so there's shouldn't be a problem there.
Again,
Many thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Matthew

Hi Dale, Thanks for looking into this - I really appreciate your help and as you can see I think that if we can crack this one it will benefit the whole community. Why Shake? No reason - I just picked one of the output formats from Mocha at random. We can try another if you think it will be easier. ...

script to import XML coordinate shape data to create a mask
Hi all, I'm afraid I'm having to conceed to defeat on this one. I've posted here and on Adobe Forums before as part of an ongoing project to use AE to colourise archive film. I'm now using Mocha as an organic roto tool. Imagineer Systems claim that Mocha is not able to directly send its shape data t...

trackable mask
Ok Ian, This is pretty similar to the module I'm trying to build. I'm have a motion estimation equation which I'm trying to turn into a rotoscoping solution becuase the pixel tracker in AE I feel isn't up to scratch. I'm often working with low res b/w footage (luma only), so get awful tracking resul...
