Re: Track Averging alteration?
I can't imagine many scenarios where you'd be able to successfully use a rototracking script for it's literal purpose Oh man, I encounter things everyday where I use it! :) Here's the example I used in a rototracking tutorial I did. http://www.mackdadd.com/assets/images/monitor-replace_Thmb_01.jpg ...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
It's more useful to me if it accurately retains the original mask shape. I wholeheartedly agree. Another feature I really like in the proprietary software we use here at work is a small checkbox that, when checked, allows you to adjust a mask vertice over all keyframes. Basically, if you check it, ...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Hey Paul, I can't really help with changing the code or anything (if you've read this whole thread, you know I can't script my way out of a wet paper bag), but I'm just curious about the details of what you're wanting it to do. Are you basically saying that TrackerViz kind of "resets" the ...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Wow, nab, I think it's done!! I LOVE the new logo, much better! Definitely advertises what it is, so if people see me using it in tutorials, they'll no what to look for (even though I'll have links to it everywhere!). And the way the keyframes work is perfect! Much easier! Thanks a million for this!...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Hey nab! I think your button/logo is great! I do think the text "TrackerViz" should be bigger, just so people are really clear as to the name of the tool. Right now it's about the same size as the little title in the Windows window. But if you like it, I do too! It took me a moment to real...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Hey nab, Since we're so close, I thought I'd try and come up with a logo for TrackerViz!! Do you like it? I can change it, if not. Is it even possible to get a JPG ir GIF into the palette like this? I think it makes it look quite a bit like a professional tool! :) http://www.mackdadd.com/tutorials/T...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Hey nab, Ok, like I PMed you, now that the averaging stuff is all sorted, I'm dabbling with the rototracking stuff. Something cool I noticed, the Keyframes per second now defaults to 30! Cool! Or does it read the frame rate of the comp and default to that (so if it was 24fps or 25fps, would it defau...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
Suppose that you have animated the pos+rot+scale layer by hand and then parent the logo, the end result will be the same. The layer is scaled up or down (not uniformly in both axis) and rotated too. The child inherits these transformations and that's why your logo is deformed. Hmmm... It should def...

Re: Track Averging alteration?
I had another idea for TrackerViz, based entirely on something I had to do last night working on the fx for the DVD extended edition of "Semi-Pro". Of course, please disregard it if it's too much to add in. :) I'm just throwing it out there in case it's super easy to include. Please don't ...
