I have 60 plus lower thirds all similar in nature. I was wondering if there is a script to select all of the comps and render them out to a folder as a targa with an alpha.

well this can easily be done by hand ^^
Select all your comps and drag them to the render queue.
Select all your render queue item and apply the output module preset you want (you can create one for targa with alpha)
That should be fast
But it could be faster by script, could be done easily.
