Hows about an import sequences script ?

I can't believe that I am requesting this, as I would have thought it would have been implemented years ago.

I use XSI to do my 3d, which renders out .pic files in passes. so for one shot I could have lets say eight passes.

To import them all into AE, I have to go to each seperate pass and import it.

please please could someone devise a script that goes into a folder, and imports all the sequences inside it. Smart import only takes the first one in the folder, which although is ok.. what about all the others.

This would save me hours of time.

thanks
Alex

Here is a script I just put together and Paul adjusted for finalization.

It is a very similar request to yours. It loads in an associated alpha map for a diffuse layer.

The best wat to approach your problem would be to come up with a naming strategy for all your passes then modify the script at the link I posted above.

I am just gussing here, but you may have a difuse layer, specular layer, shadow layer and so on and need them all loaded.
