Hi guys,

i'm trying to figure out how to detect "hidden" properties By Hidden properties, i mean properties that exists but that are unavailable on the UI for some specific layer type.

I'm writing an XML export script, and it exports for each layer every values for every property. But I discovered that it also exports those "hidden" properties, like Opacity & Scale for a camera layer.

As I need to export an XML as clean as possible, i'm trying to detect, for each properties, if it's available to the user in the UI or not, but even with the japanese property list guide posted here I can't find a solution (property.enable is 'true' even for hidden properties).

Do you have an idea/hack/workaround for this ? (I don't want to build an array with a list of every available/hidden properties, I want this to be as automated as possible)

You could try the elided attribute, cf scripting guide cs3 p142. I've never used it.

I've tried it already, but doesn't help at all sadly.
