Does anyone know if it's possible to change shortcut keys programmatically? I know that you can change the contents of the shortcut file, then upon next AE load, the new shortcut will be there, but that's not really what I'm after.

I've created a few scripts that I'd like to map to shortcut keys. I'd like to assign these keys via another script without needing AE to restart and without updating the shortcut file. Does AE expose hooks to shortcut keys?

Hi there you need to google keyedup.jsx and if you take a look at my video on the script 'Isolate'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dAcLEMcgpU

It shows at the end how to use keyEdUp to assign keyboard shortcuts to scripts in After effects. You can assign up to 20 to keys.
