how to semplify presets

Hi all, I have created an elaborated preset using many sliders among other effects and wired them all together using expressions and whatnot...

It is terribly messy and I know that somewhere around the internet I once saw a tutorial/forum post about combining multiple sliders into one effect but am unable to find it again.

Anyone know how to do this?

My guess would be that maybe you didn't get the XML quite right. What did you add to the file?
