I would like a script that would set my Region of Interest box to the dimensions of a selected layer (or layers).

I could then crop the comp to the exact dimension of my layer(s).

I think this is a great idea, but I don't think the ROI is accesible through scripting. As far as I am aware anyway..

You might not be able to get ROI from scripting - but you CAN get the dimensions of the layer and then use the script to just crop to the layer size = rather than setting the ROI first.

depending on what you're trying to do - and as long as you precomp it - you might be able to use Paul's Crop Layer Sets script viewtopic.php?f=9&t=496

it's a life saver.
