Set Slider Range ( min / max)?

Is it possible to set the slider range of a given effect? I am generating some custom sliders for a task and would like the default UI range be much smaller than the default.

I would guess not, since you set those in a dialog.

I know you posted this many years ago, but did you ever find out if this was, indeed, possible?

I don't recall there being a solution but it has been quite some time since I tried that approach. It's possible they have made some changes I'm not aware of.
