If I try this the normal way I get the expression value...
At the moment I'm doing this:
Code: Select all
ease(time, 0, 1, thisLayer.transform.position.key(1).value,thisComp.layer(7).transform.position.key(1))
Any ideas? ;D

Nope. You're employing the wrong methodology. If you really need to re-use the position values, use them on a neutral layer (Null object/ invisible layer), then reference all other layers to this layer.jcarruthers wrote:Is there anyway of reading another layers values that are controlled by expressions - but not the actual expression output... the keyframed values themselves?
