Is it possible to tell a palette to watch for live item updates? Specifically, I need to develop a tool which watches for time changes and updates settings in a floating palette based on various properties of the current comp time. The very last resort is a timer...

I haven't found anything in the somewhat cryptic docs.

I made some enquires on this but came up blank I'm afraid. I don't think it's possible to create a script that can monitor what's going on. The only thing it can do when 'in the background' is monitor user interaction with the palette created by that script

Also, this thread http://aczet.free.fr/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=63 seems to suggest you aren't going to have any luck with a timer either.

The best solution I can think of is to put a 'refresh' button on your palette.
