Layer style - add / enable

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to turn on a Layer Style using scripting?

Everything I've tried seems to hit up against canSetEnabled = false or canAddProperty() = false

Is there a workaround?

I needed to do this too and found it wasn't easy. I ended up doing it by saving animation presets for each layer style (Blending Options too) into a 'support folder' and then getting the script to locate and apply the correct animation preset.

I recommend filing a request to allow layer styles to be added directly. The more people that ask, the more likely it will be implemented. http://adobe.com/go/wish/
