I have not written code for over 20 years so I am looking for a little help. I am looking for a script that will cut up a comp based on the in/out of selected Video layers. I know there are scripts that do this, however, the created pre-comp only contains the selected layer, not all layers within the full comp for that frame range. That is to say: If layer one was selected it would only pre-comp layer one not the audio or other layers that fall within layer ones frame range.
Can this be done? If it cannot, can a script be created that uses the in/out of selected Video layers to send and setup render cues (for each shot) using the in/out to set the frame ranges?
The goal is to cut a project into the separate shots and then render those shots out as separate video files with all layers associated with that shot included.
I hope I have explained this correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
